Just a few things to be excited about in Gettysburg FFA this week!
Bobbi Eide is attending the Next Gen Conference Ag Education in Philadelphia this week! Throughout the week, she’ll engage in career‑focused experiences such as industry roundtables, interactive workshops, and site tours—all designed to immerse attendees in teaching and educational leadership within the agriculture sector. I knew this was the route she’d be taking 😉
Bradly Vasquez was chosen to attend the World Food Prize Event to present his paper! Bradley will join an elite cohort of high school delegates at the Global Youth Institute, taking place October 21–23, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa. As a selected student delegate, he will present his paper to a panel of international agriculturalists, site-visits, connecting with global leaders in agriculture and student peers, and attending the Borlaug Dialogue! I attended this event as a high schooler, and cannot speak higher of how amazing this opportunity this is. Congrats Bradly!
This week, I am attending the National FFA Teacher Ambassador Program training in Indianapolis with other ag teachers/ambassadors from across the nation. Here I’ll learn to engage teachers in hands-on sessions to teach about National FFA Educator Resources, practices delivering professional development, and serve as a voice for teachers!
What a great week! 💙💛

Pigs have arrived! We had a sweet little blessing while we tagged them as well! 🌈
Today was another important day for Bobbi, Anastasia, and Liam as we traveled to Sioux Falls and brought back the pigs. We then tag them and release them into their new home for the summer. Bobbi is currently training these two to take over as supervisors of the project when she graduates. It was a great day!
Special thanks to Justin Penrod for hauling us and the pigs today. We appreciate all your work you do for the FFA!
