3rd Graders got to put their fraction skills to the test today as they made Fraction Pizzas! One of our favorite spring time lessons applying their knowledge of fractions in several aspects.

Gettysburg School District will conduct developmental screenings on March 25th. If your child has a birthdate between September 1, 2019 and August 31, 2022, they are eligible for this free screening. If your child is planning on attending preschool or Kindergarten next year, they should attend this screening. South Dakota Birth to 3 Connections will also be scheduling screening appointments on this day. Those screenings are for children UNDER the age of 3 at the time of screening. Please call the school office to schedule your time slot . Registration will close on Friday, March 21. If you have questions, please contact Julie Williams.


The Potter County BBB team will start regional basketball by playing the Faulkton Trojans on Tuesday, March 4th, in Faulkton. Game time is 7pm, no passes accepted, cost for adults $6 and students $4.


Teens Against Tobacco Use members discussed peer pressure and how to say no in their lesson with the 6th graders on Thursday.

A huge thank you to Mike Schlachter for speaking today. Mrs Langer's Entrepreneurship classes were able to hear firsthand about the pros and cons of running their own business, skills and perseverance it takes and were shoe ask any questions to help them succeed with their future companies.

The Potter County Lady Battlers will host Wakpala in Gettysburg in the first round of 6B Regions on Monday, February 24th, at 7pm. The doors open at 6pm, no passes accepted, admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students grades K-12.


Announcment: The Ipswich Tiger are unable to play the MSBBB games on Thursday. February 27th, in Hoven. The games will not be rescheduled.

What a great FFA week! Tractors in the parking lot, a great Businessman's Breakfast, fun FFA Olympics, AND Ms. McClure was surprised and presented with a Golden Owl Award! This award recognizes South Dakota ag educators for their tremendous contributions in preparing the next generation of young people for successful careers in ag. We are so proud of Ms. McClure and grateful for all she does!
