The 6th graders went to a Math Counts competition at Holgate MS in Aberdeen today. Leah Larson placed 7th in the Countdown round and 8th in the individual test. Daniel Lake got 10th in the individual test. The team of Leah, Daniel, Kyley Saltsman, and Gavin Rausch got 4th and the team of Cashton Rausch, Dean Quiett, Aden Harer, and Carson Kilian placed 8th as a team. There were 27 teams and 100 kids participating.
The Gettysburg School is hosting a free vision screening next Tuesday, November 19th for all students K-12. Elementary parents, please return the permission forms that will be sent home. Grades 6-12 will all be screened unless a parent calls to let the school know they prefer not to have their student screened.
The MSGBB game vs Sully Buttes scheduled for Thursday, November 14th, was rescheduled to Monday, November 18th since Sully Buttes is playing in the dome on Thursday.
The rescheduled date puts four games next week, and since we cannot find another day the game is now cancelled. The MSGBB first game will be played Tuesday, November 19th, in Highmore.
We were honored yesterday to be in the company of so many heroes! Thank you to all our Veterans!

The Middle School Student Council held a Family Game Night tonight. We had a great turnout. Lots of fun and laughter! Thomas, Liam, Declan, and Jude put on a great show!!
Part 2- 3rd Graders visit the manor!
The 3rd Graders visited the manor today and got to interview a resident to find out more about their lives. We learned some wonderful stories! They also got to color some fall pictures with them. Such a great opportunity for our kids and residents!

Congratulations to the Potter County Volleyball Team on the win over Highmore-Harrold last night & good luck tomorrow night! The PC Battlers will play the Herreid-Selby Wolverines in Selby tomorrow, Thursday, November 7th, at 7pm.
9th, 10th, and 11th graders heard a presentation on health-related careers today. Kathryn Haarstad and Rachael Wager, both from Avera, were the presenters. Information on numerous health-related career opportunities at Avera was shared as well as what careers have the greatest shortage of workers in South Dakota. Opportunities for job shadowing and part-time work were also shared.
Seniors listened to a presentation on the Build Dakota Scholarship Program today. Recipients of this scholarship can earn their SD Technical College Degree for free. Students must major in a high need career area in South Dakota and agree to work at a SD Business for three years. Go to https://www.builddakotascholarships.com/
